RCTC Skills students raise $2500 in Polar Plunge

DSC00293The RCTC Skills students raised more than $2500 in donations for the 2016 Special Olympics Polar Plunge that took place on Friday, Feb. 12.

The plunge took place at Foster Arend Park and had 935 participants who raised $250,000 for the Minnesota Special Olympics. The weather was in the single digits, but the water of Lake Arend was relatively warm.

The Skills team won the award for the top college/university team in the? state.

“I think next year we will put out a challenge to the other programs to see who can raise the most,” said Randy Mohawk, instructor. Get ready for next year!
