Welcome to RCTC!  Your education here opens doors to new, unexpected opportunities.  It’s wonderful to have our new and returning students fill the campus and online learning community again!  We, in Student Affairs are committed to your success and begin each semester with this communication campaign called “RCTC Student Beehive” – named in recognition of our campus yellowjacket mascot Sting.   Each week on Wednesdays, we’ll share the most relevant and important information about “Bee-ing” successful in accomplishing your goals at RCTC.  Be sure to check out our “Upcoming Events” link so you always know what’s coming up!  DON’T FORGET!!! LAST DAY TO ADD AND DROP CLASSES
RCTC students can make changes to full term schedules through the 5th day of classes.  The final day to add and drop full term classes is this Friday, August 30.  You can manage your class schedule via the RCTC eServices site.

Students are responsible to verify that any change was processed correctly by printing a copy of their academic schedule whenever they make a change.  After the deadline to drop a course, refunds are issued only for complete withdrawals in accordance with the published RCTC refund schedule.

PARKING – FIND OUT WHERE YOU WON’T GET TICKETED!
Student parking is available in any lots designated “Student parking” and at parking meters (as paid).  The parking fee is included in your tuition.  Parking meters are monitored from 8:00am to 8:00pm Monday through Thursday and 8:00am to 3:00pm on Friday.

FREE BUS RIDES FOR RCTC STUDENTS!
Using the bus system in Rochester is easy and convenient.  Students can access any part of the city using Rochester Public Transit as their mode of transportation.  The buses are clean, safe, and enjoyable to ride.  RCTC students ride for free, accessing any RPT bus route.  For additional information on routes, and more, visit their website at: http://www.rochesterbus.comMaps of bus routes are also available on the counters throughout the Student Services area. Show your RCTC Student ID and you can ride any route, anytime for free!  If you haven’t received your Student ID yet, visit the RCTC Library today!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FROM FINANCIAL AID
All financial aid disbursements and student payroll checks at RCTC are disbursed using a system called BankMobile Disbursements.  When your payment is ready to be issued to you, the funds will be sent to an agency called “BankMobile.”  BankMobile will then issue your financial aid change check and/or student payroll check using the disbursement method you designate.  You can choose to have your funding sent to your own bank account, to a BankMobile Vibe Account, or sent by paper check via mail.

You will receive a GREEN ENVELOPE containing a Refund Selection Kit by mail after you register for courses at RCTC.  You will use this kit to make your refund/payroll selection at www.refundselection.com.  If you have questions, please contact the RCTC Cashier’s Office at (507) 285-7311.

Hungry? You’ve come to the right place.  The cafes on the RCTC campus feature a variety of tasty meal options including Aldo’s Burgers, Sabino’s Pizza, World Tacos, Salad Bar, Mac n’ Cheese and much more!  Visit our Lancer Hospitality website to see the hours and location of each cafe.  You’ll also find the nutritional information supported by SmartSpoon.

HIVE SUPPLY – STUDENT FOOD CUPBOARD!
The Hive Supply is RCTC’s on campus food shelf. Current RCTC students can visit the Hive Supply once per week and take up to 10 food items when needed. Some other health and wellness items are also available; non-food items vary throughout the year and are based on donations. Check out the Hive Supply Webpage for available hours. Donations are also always welcome! For more information, please contact the Student Life Department at (507) 285-7204. Please note: dates and times are subject to change so check back to our website for the most current information.

EMAIL ACCOUNTS – OFFICIAL MEANS OF COMMUNICATION
Did you know Campus Email is RCTC’s official means of communication with students?
All RCTC students are provided with an email account through the College. This email account is the official means of communication from the college. Your campus email login format is: StarID@go.minnstate.edu – Example: rc1234tc@go.minnstate.edu. Email can be accessed at: https://www.outlook.com/ or on your mobile device.

Instructions to set up your mobile phone to access your email, calendar information, contacts and tasks can be found at: https://www.rctc.edu/services/technology/smartphone-support/.

TOBACCO FREE CAMPUS – INSIDE AND OUT
RCTC is a TOBACCO FREE campus.  Smoking, tobacco use, and tobacco sales (including the use or sale of smokeless tobacco products) are prohibited on college owned, operated, or leased property, including all college owned vehicles.  This includes any building or structure; athletic playing field, playground, parking lot or any other outdoor property owned, leased or contracted by RCTC.

The policy is not intended to deny individuals their use of tobacco products and provides for an exception of tobacco use in private vehicles in college parking lots.   You can view the full policy here.

There are cessation services available in Olmsted County.

    Join us as we kick off weekly NavNites with an evening of praising God through worship and prayer for the start of the school year.

    Stop by for free donuts while getting a taste of weekly Navigator discipleship groups, where we read and discuss the Bible and enjoy growing in relationship with others and God.

  • Come enjoy a free showing of Space Jam on the Sports Center Lawn!! Rain site will be the Hill Theater.
