ADDITIONAL SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES FOR RCTC STUDENTS
Yvonne Romero Art History Scholarship is awarded to a student who is currently enrolled or has completed an Art History class at RCTC with a minimum GPA of 2.0 who are from disadvantaged backgrounds and have financial need. Preference given to female students of Hispanic, African or African-American background. ESSAY REQUIRED (300 words or less): Why is the Study of Art History Important?
If you have already submitted your scholarship application through the RCTC scholarship portal, it is recommended that you sign on to the portal to see if you qualify for this scholarship at https://secure.rctc.edu/apps/scholarships/#.
Reminder: Scholarship Portal Closes on February 10th!
The RCTC Foundation’s scholarship portal is still open, but will close in 18 days on Friday, February 10 at 4:00 pm! All RCTC students are encouraged to apply if they need financial assistance to attend RCTC. The website for the portal is www.rctc.edu/foundation/scholarships. It is important to remember that these scholarships will be for fall 2017 and spring 2018 and the portal will not open again until later this year.

RCTC ACCREDITATION STUDENT OPINION SURVEY
The Higher Learning Commission is the institutional accrediting association that comprehensively evaluates our college. Rochester community and technical college is going through the process this year. Your comments about your experiences are very important. A summary of your input will be provided to the team of representatives from the Higher Learning Commission who will be visiting our college, April 24-26. The answers you give on this survey are anonymous. Your participation is completely voluntary. The Higher Learning Commission and RCTC will not have access to your identity.
The survey will be open February 6-15. Please watch your email for the survey link!
Student Life would like everyone to come over to the Sports Center and participate in Open Gym! Open Gym will begin the first day of the fall and run through the last day of spring semester. Daily hours are Tuesdays – Fridays from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Open Gym offers a variety of different sports including:
- Disc Golf
- Table Tennis

If you are interested in learning more about this event and/or volunteering to help with the planning of the event, please attend one of these information sessions. Feel free to drop-in any time during the hour and stay for as long as you’d like. Snacks will be provided!
