RCTC will be migrating all Office 365 services to the Minnesota State single tenant the week of June 11, 2018.

The goal of this project is to bring all Minnesota State colleges and universities into a single system with Office 365. Employees and students with multiple campus affiliations will have a single mailbox that will work at each participating institution. This project includes services such as email, One Drive, Sharepoint, Skype for Business and more.

Student email addresses will be changing. The new format will be first.last@my.rctc.edu. Emails sent to current students using the old format will continue to be delivered. Students with multiple campus affiliations may have their default send from address set to a different Minnesota State campus (with an .edu domain). Note: if a student has their default ‘send address? set to a different Minnesota State Campus, their message will arrive in your inbox appearing that way versus @my.rctc.edu.

All email, folders and OneDrive content will be migrated into the new system. Students will log in using their username starid@go.minnstate.edu. All Office 365 services including email will be unavailable June 15-17, 2018. There will also be sporadic periods of time where access will be limited or unavailable during the week of June 11-15, 2018.

Plan to Celebrate with the 2017-2018 Graduation Candidates on May 10! The RCTC Commencement Ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 10 at 6:00pm in the Field House at the Regional Sports Center. The Commencement Program is a fitting conclusion to a successful academic career and the earning of a degree or certificate. Based on hundreds of years of academic tradition handed down from European universities, this ceremony is a colorful, dignified, and festive recognition of the successes of the College and the students who merit degrees. Fall 2017 graduates will be recognized, along with Spring and Summer 2018 candidates
Tickets for family and friends are not required. Seating is available on a first-come basis. Plan to arrive before 5:30pm for optimal seating. Guests must remain seated throughout the ceremony and may not block the view of others to take pictures or videos.

Excellence in scholastic achievement is recognized each semester by compiling a Dean’s List. To qualify for the Dean’s List, a student must successfully complete at least 12 college-level credits in the same semester, with a minimum term grade point average of 3.0 or better. Additionally, the credit courses completed must have earned grade points. Credits for P and grades of I, AU, and W are excluded from the count. These lists are posted in the Admissions and Records area and at the Heintz Center, as well as distributed to local media. Students obtaining a GPA of 3.5 and above on the Dean’s List also receive a letter from the College honoring their achievement. A listing can also be downloaded from the College website at: www.rctc.edu/about/html/Deans-list.html . The list should be available after June 1st.

RCTC Student Health Services will close on Friday, May 11, 2018 for summer break. If you are in need of medical care after this date, please contact your regular healthcare provider. The office will reopen again for Fall Semester on Monday, August 13, 2018. Physical exams for academic and sports programs will be available beginning the week of August 20. Call 507-285-7261 beginning August 13 to schedule an appointment. If you need a copy of your immunization or Mantoux (TB test), please contact Admissions and Records Office at (507) 285-7268.

As the end of semester nears conclusion, remember to return any equipment checked out from the Technology Support Center. The due date for cameras, video recording gear, and other equipment is Wednesday, May 9, 2018. Equipment not returned this date and time will be declared lost, your student account will be charged for replacement costs, and a hold will be placed on your academic records.

You will be allowed to use the gear in the upcoming semester as long as you are enrolled in a specific program that requires you to use such equipment or ifit is general media gear for classroom usage. RCTC hopes you had a tremendously successful semester. The grade window for instructors closed last night, May 19, 2018 at 11:59pm. You should be able to view your Spring Semester 2018 grades on your academic record. These grades can be viewed in the grades and transcripts section of the college eServices site.

Any grades not posted to your eServices site account have not been reported by a faculty member. Please contact the instructor of your class to inquire when s/he will post any missing grades.
