RCTC Volleyball Players named MCAC Athletes of the Week


Three Yellowjackets dominated the Volleyball Southern Division MCAC Athletes of the Week, holding three of four spots.

Brianna Atkins, a 5’11” sophomore from Rochester, was named Hitter of the Week. “Brianna led the #4 Yellowjackets to 4 straight wins to open the season recording 56 kills (4.7/s) while attacking at a.315 clip. Atkins added 27 digs and 6 aces during weekend play.”

Amberlee Dunagan, a 5’6″ sophomore from Rochester, was named Setter of the Week. “Amberlee handed out 97 assists (8.1/s) as Rochester went 4-0. Dunagan added 18 digs (1.5/s), 9 kills (.75/s) with a .500 attack % and 1 ace.”

Natalie Reinardy, a 5’8″ sophomore from Cannon Falls, was named Defensive Player of the Week. “Natalie’s defensive play was instrumental in the Yellowjackets’ 4-0 start. Reinardy recorded 54 digs (4.5/s) while adding 13 kills, 11 assists, 5 blocks and 3 aces to her solid performance.”
