Yellowjacket Football ends season

The Yellowjackets left Minnesota last Thursday for Biloxi, MS, to play Northwest Mississippi, a Division I school, in the NJCAA national championship game on Sunday, Dec. 6, the final game of the 2015 season.

The Yellowjackets went into the game with an unbeaten season and second ranking in the NJCAA. The team played a great game and came away with a 13-66 loss.

Jalen Esters scored both the touchdowns of the game. Nick Rooney passed 223 yards for the two touchdowns.

Before the game, Rooney was ranked first in the nation in yards passing (4,111) and touchdown passes (55).

LaKye Altson and Billy Kellogg each had interceptions, and Andre Jacobson recovered a fumble punt.
