The fluorescent lights cast a steady glow over the round table, where adventurers had gathered for their weekly journey into the realms of Dungeons and Dragons. The Echo Newspaper staff caught up with the tabletop gaming club just before the mission unfolded.<\/p>\n<p>Club advisor Professor John Tacinelli (PH.D.), describes the club as \u201ca place to come for 5 to 6 hours and just forget about the <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-11260 size-medium\" src=\"\/echo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/IMG_0510-300x225.jpeg\" alt=\"Group of students playing table-top game\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rctc.edu\/echo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/IMG_0510-300x225.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.rctc.edu\/echo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/IMG_0510-1280x960.jpeg 1280w, https:\/\/www.rctc.edu\/echo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/IMG_0510-768x576.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/www.rctc.edu\/echo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/IMG_0510-1536x1152.jpeg 1536w, https:\/\/www.rctc.edu\/echo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/IMG_0510-2048x1536.jpeg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>world\u2026 and de-stress.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The club has a wide variety of games, from card games and tabletop role-playing games to actual board games \u2013 really any game a student can think of. Professor Dr. Tacinelli created the club in 2016 and it has been, as he states, \u201cthe most active club on campus.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The warm camaraderie and enthusiasm of club members echo this sentiment. What sets this club apart is not just the array of games but the unwavering commitment of its members. Even when faced with challenging circumstances, the tabletop gaming community remained steadfast in their dedication to meet. As they observed the lively exchange of ideas and laughter, it became evident that this was not just a club; it was a sanctuary where students came together to escape reality and embark on journeys limited only by the boundaries of their collective imagination.<\/p>\n<p>One member, Lydia Domaolle, describes her experience joining the club last semester as it \u201c helped [her] feel less like [she] was just taking classes at RCTC, and [she] started to feel like an RCTC student.\u201d If you would like to join this club and community, as Dr..
