Of demise and useless air<\/p>\n
Wishing only love was sent<\/p>\n

And anxiety was its blanket of pity<\/p>\n
Always feeling like a fiend<\/p>\n
Waiting for serenity<\/p>\n

Keeping its calm through slit wrist<\/p>\n
And dripping tears in only red<\/p>\n
Silently screaming from its chest<\/p>\n
To no longer dread<\/p>\n

How the spirit\u2019s anchor<\/p>\n
Allowed society to bath it in insecurities<\/p>\n
Dwindling in passion and temper<\/p>\n
Accepting all impurities<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
If only the dying life<\/p>\n
Echoed for warmth and empathy<\/p>\n
Before embracing the knife<\/p>\n
And losing humanity<\/p>\n

Before the word pain became its own entity<\/p>\n
And mutilated jubilation<\/p>\n
Before the souls\u2019 eyes sang misery<\/p>\n
And before the tears have been marred with the word\u2019s caution<\/p>\n

Yet such sorrow unable to be seen<\/p>\n
For the now skinless ghost<\/p>\n
Hid behind a mask to stay unseen<\/p>\n
As its hollow face fooled more than most<\/p>\n

Its smiles hid the tears<\/p>\n
The laughs hid the screams<\/p>\n
Keeping the masquerade for years<\/p>\n
Things were never as they seemed always bottled in such fears<\/p>\n

The phantom that once took breath<\/p>\n
Wished to be free<\/p>\n
Seeking death<\/p>\n
Savoring such glee<\/p>\n

And before the heart would cease to exist<\/p>\n
Before it would fall into an eternal slumber with its blade<\/p>\n
Before the wings spread and its last pulse could rest<\/p>\n
Before the tormented spirit could fade<\/p>\n
