The teams had met twice during the regular season with Lake Superior coming away with 6-0 and 2-0 victories.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">On the strength of a stingy defense and good goalkeeping, RCTC outshot Lake Superior throughout the contest, and the two teams ended regulation tied 1-1 with Manigbe Kenneh accounting for the Yellowjacket goal.During regulation goalkeeper Micah Jeppesen saved a penalty kick to keep the game deadlocked.Then only a minute and a half into overtime, Shelby Bailey scored off a corner kick to seal the win and send RCTC to the Region final.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Echo staff report The RCTC soccer team advanced to the Region XIII championship game of the Minnesota College Athletic Association but fell to No. 1 ranked Anoka-Ramsey Community College 12-1 on Oct. 22.
