Rochester Community and Technical College recently received a Minnesota Job Skills Partnership grant award of $48,913 for the Kerry Bio-Science project.<\/p>\n
Kerry recently announced an $18.1 million expansion of the Rochester facility at 2402 Seventh St. NW as part of a larger expansion project at the manufacturing site.<\/p>\n
This expansion includes a 5,300-square-foot addition and will provide added production equipment.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis grant will allow for design of a training program for operators, team leaders, and maintenance personnel at the Rochester, Minnesota Kerry plant, providing an opportunity to disseminate curriculum to similar production organizations located throughout Minnesota,\u201dsaid Jennifer Wilson, RCTC\u2019s Director of Business and Workforce Education.<\/p>\n
\u201cThrough classroom design and practical application, key industry skills will be taught, providing a strong foundation for job-specific skills required to meet the progressive industry needs,\u201d Wilson said. \u201cThis training program will also allow Kerry to develop the skills of current and future talent within the organization to increase operational efficiencies.\u201d<\/p>\n
