On Saturday, Dec. 3, RCTC\u2019s men\u2019s basketball team beat Itasca Community College 118-75 for head coach Brian LaPlante\u2019s 400th career win.<\/p>\n
He is the first coach in RCTC\u2019s history to achieve this milestone. He has been the head coach since 1996.<\/p>\n
\u201cCoach LaPlante represents the best of athletic competition, sportsmanship, scholarship, athleticism, and leadership,\u201d said Dr. Michael Anthony, Vice President of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. \u201cHe also epitomizes Yellowjacket athletics. I am so very thankful for his leadership of the men\u2019s basketball program for these many years, and of the Athletics Department on several occasions. I am proud to call him a colleague and friend, and congratulate him on this monumental accomplishment!\u201d<\/p>\n
The Yellowjackets have a 7-3 won-lost record. Their first game after semester break is Friday, Jan. 6, against North Dakota State College of Science at Inver Grove Heights.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
