Course Description
This course covers the hands-on diagnosis, testing, repair and maintenance procedures for automotive engines. This course aligns with ASE standard: Engine Repair.

- Remove and replace timing belts and tensioners
- Diagnose engine block surfaces for warpage
- Replace crankshaft pulley with vibration damper
- Check connecting rods
- Test cylinder heads for warpage and valve sealing
- Replace valve cover gaskets
- Test engine for cooling problems
- Test cylinder compression, cylinder leak down test
- Replace a serpentine belt and tensioner

- Disassemble an engine.
- Check for cylinder head and block warpage.
- Replace all engine gaskets.
- Diagnose cooling system leaks.
- Replace cooling system components.
- Determine engine health with compression test.
