Course Description
This course is designed to progress from the classroom to the Lab. Taking our Learning from the Classroom and applying it to a real vehicle. This course will cover the following items: Fuel Injection, GDI, Ignition Systems, Engine Management Sensors and Actuators, Fuels and Ignition Systems. This class aligns with ASE standard: Engine Performance.

Learning Outcomes (General)
The student will be able to:
- Identify and describe multiport fuel injection operations.
- Identify GDI gasoline direct injection and explain proper operation.
- Identify differing Ignition Systems.
- Show understanding of each engine management sensor.
- Show understanding of engine management actuators.
- Test fuels for alcohol content.
- Replace wear parts in an ignition system.
- Diagnose and repair engine misfires resulting from ignition and fuel faults.
