Course Description

This course is a Lab class. We will practice changing and identifying parts, maintaining, and Diagnosing Issues related to the Heating and Air Conditioning Systems. In this class we will also make repairs on vehicles with A/C concerns. Learn to bill out parts and Complete Invoice on vehicles repaired during Lab time. This course aligns with ASE standard: Heating and Air Conditioning.

  1. Inspect and Replace a Thermostat
  2. Pressure test and Replace a Radiator
  3. Replace a Cabin Air Filter
  4. Measure the Air Conditioning Temperature
  5. Detect a Leak in the A/C System
  6. Check the Attachment of A/C Pipes
  7. Install a new A/C Compressor
  8. Diagnose the Interior Fan
  9. Diagnose a Blower Resistor
  10. Evacuate and Recharge R-134a and R-1234yf A/C Systems

  2. Use proper safety practices to reclaim and recharge air conditioning freon.
  3. Diagnosis of cooling systems.
  4. Identify different types of refrigerants.
  5. Replace A/C Compressors, and all other Heating and Cooling parts.
