Course Description
The focus of this course is to develop the ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications. Topics include symbols and abbreviations, floor plan, elevations, and section views. Students will discover where to find needed information and learn to visualize the draftsman’s intent.

Learning Outcomes (General)
The student will be able to:
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers, including fractions.
- Interpret measurements and use scales.
- Recognize common drawings in a set of plans.
- Recognize and interpret common symbols and abbreviations used in drawings.
- Locate and compare plan, elevations, and section views.
- Visualize the entire plan.
- Find the graphic information necessary to complete a construction project.
- Create a set of drawings.
