Course Description
This course will cover the history and evolution of Corrections from early European times through present day America. It will then move to the current state of Corrections and the daily challenges that correctional officers go through. The student will also learn about the several types of offenders and inmates that they would be expected to work with daily. The class will also discuss the differences between Local, State, and Federal institutions.
