Course Description
This course provides students with an overview of the effect of crisis, disaster, and trauma associated events on people, systems, society, and the environment. This course will introduce students to core crisis concepts, theories, and skills. Preventative techniques, strategies, and models will be explored. Risk assessment, community plans of action, supportive resources, and crisis specific situations will also be discussed. College level reading and writing is recommended for this course.
