Course Description
This course looks at the connections, dynamics, and influences of substance use, mental health, and the criminal justice system on people, systems, and society. This course will also explore criminal justice and counseling theories as they relate to crime, recidivism, recovery, and diseases like addiction and mental health. Lastly, this class will look at how culture, community resources, and state or federal laws affect these topics. College level reading and writing is recommended for this class.
