Course Description
This course is designed to provide an overview of the nursing profession and the role of the professional nurse as a provider and manager of care. Maslow's hierarchy of basic human needs and Watson’s Philosophy of Caring are introduced, along with the nursing process. Nursing care of patients with musculoskeletal alterations and care of the elderly is discussed. Students must already be admitted into the nursing program.
