Course Description

This course is designed to help increase the awareness and understanding of a theatre production and the steps involved in preparing a play for performance. Topics include training and responsibility of the playwright, director, actor, and designer as well as the historical and cultural influences of European and Asian theatre on the development of American theatre. College level reading and writing skills recommended.

  2. Recognize the terminology and personnel associated with theatre.
  3. Critically analyze a live theatrical production.
