Course Description
Stagecraft is an introduction to the technical aspects of theatre. These include set construction, painting, costume and lighting, properties, special effects, drafting, and scene design. Special attention is paid to basic shop tools and safety. Participation in the current theatre production is required.

- Safely use common tools, materials, and theatrical equipment for the desired effect of theatrical design.
- Implement common theatrical production techniques.
- Describe the elements of theatrical design as they apply to the concepts and meanings of a script.
- Identify the effectiveness of each member’s role in a collaborative theatrical production.
- Contribute to the overall outcome of theatrical production.
