Summer is the time for students to catch up or get one step ahead on their path to graduation.

To help students achieve this, RCTC’s Food Shelf provides students with financial difficulties with access to food on a regular basis.

The goal of the shelf is to eliminate hunger among students experiencing hardship, allowing them to focus on their classes and academic success.

Located at College Center 406, the shelf is kept stocked partly by Channel One Regional Food Bank, as well as through personal donations, which can be placed in the yellow bins around campus. The most needed food donations are boxed or canned meals.

Each student may visit the shelf once a week throughout the summer session and select a maximum of 10 items. A valid student ID is also required. Summer hours are from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

In addition to food, kitchen utensils and toiletries are made available to students through the food shelf.
