RCTC wrestling team ranked No. 1 in nation

RCTC’s wrestling team is ranked No. 1 among all National Junior College Athletic Association non-scholarship schools and No. 10 among all schools.

“There are many hard-working student athletes on this team,” RCTC Head Coach, Randy Rager, said. “To be successful it takes hard work and sacrifice.”

There are three RCTC wrestlers who are nationally ranked. Coltan Laganiere is ranked No. 4 at 149 pounds, Brett Bradford is ranked No. 2 at 157 pounds, and Alfred Daniel is ranked No. 8 at 165 pounds.

The Yellowjackets’ next dual meet will be Friday, Feb. 10, at St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minn. Two days later, the Yellowjackets will compete in the NJCAA qualifying meet at Ridgewater College in Thief River Falls, Minn.

The NJCAA national tournament will be held Feb. 24-25 in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
