The release of Pok»mon Go has taken the world by storm.

RCTC Student Life has instinctively decided to go ahead and incorporate the popular game into its repertoire of events during Homecoming from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 5.

“We are always looking for ways to engage students, and Pok»monGo is such a huge game that everyone seems to be playing, so we decided to take advantage of that,” said RCTC Student Life Specialist Courtney Thoreson. “We just thought it was a great way to get students more involvedon our campus and connect with other students.”

People can look forward to a variety of things to do besides catching them all, such as Lucky Egg Battles. In these battles, teams will be competing to gather the largest amount of eggs from around campus.

If you mystically do not have the app yet fear not, RCTC Student Life has thought of you, too, and created The Pok» Ball Decorating Contest. The friendly competition will test your skills at designing a new Pok» ball. The victors of these battles will be receiving their prizes at a pepfest and will be announced through the RCTC Twitter feed @RCTC_SL.

Will you have the valor to battle it out?
