Wrestlers head to nationals

In the world of RCTC wrestling, August marks the beginning of their reunion where captains practice is started. Then, in October, official practice begins, and November is when all the competitions begin.
The NJCAA national tournament, running March 1-2 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, brings the season to an end.
Dillon McGee, Tyler Zeman, Isaac Haman, Shane Siewert, Alex LaPierre and Morgen Moreno all qualified for nationals.
The team is ìcurrently in a maintenance phase of training and will be ready for the tournament in the beginning of March,î said Head Coach Randy Rager.
The Yellowjackets won the MCAC State Tournament for the seventh consecutive year. They also won the North District Region XIII Tournament.
Shane Siewart won MCAC Wrestler of the year and Rager earned MCAC and Region XIII Coach of the Year.
