When it comes to the RCTC basketball team, practice and then more practice makes perfect.†
Although the team has been practicing since September, the basketball season began on Nov. 9, consisting of 20 players on the menís basketball team.
†ìDespite starting the season with a rash of injuries, the team is really improving,î said Coach Brian LaPlante. ìWe are feeling much better about where we are headed.î
There are 27 games in the year, and of the seven that theyíve played so far, they won three.†
ìWe hope to be one of the four teams in our conference to make the state tournament in March and that winner goes to the national tournament,î LaPlante said.†
The Region XIII tournament is March 1-3 in Coon Rapids. RCTC will host the NJCAA Division III Menís Basketball National Championship national tournament is March 14-16.
