RCTC is excited to announce RCTC student Oyindamola Baruwa was selected to receive the Mark W. Welter World Citizen Award and Scholarship. Ms. Baruwa was one of 20 students from Minnesota State selected to receive this honor. She has gone above and beyond in participating in equity and educational programming as well as interviewing students to get their perspectives on campus. Through the generosity of Dr. Mark Welter, this award provides an annual tribute to Minnesota State students who exemplify an understanding of the interconnected nature of the world, its nations and all people; are in good academic standing; and who demonstrate financial need. Ms. Baruwa was nominated for this award by RCTC Multicultural Advisor, Chao Mwatela.
