Digital Accessibility

Rochester Community and Technical College (RCTC) is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience.

RCTC is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including individuals with disabilities. We strive to meet or exceed the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title II and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

Standards Applied

Our website and digital content aim to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards, as adopted by the U.S. Department of Justice for state and local government entities.

Measures Taken

  • Integrated accessibility into our design and development processes.
  • Conducted accessibility audits and remediation based on WCAG 2.1 AA criteria.
  • Provide ongoing staff training on accessibility best practices.
  • Engage users with disabilities in usability testing.

Known Limitations

While we work diligently to ensure accessibility, some third-party content may not fully meet WCAG standards. We are actively collaborating with vendors to improve accessibility.

Future Improvements

We review and update our accessibility practices regularly and welcome feedback to help us improve.
