RCTC Welding Instructor Receives MACTA Educator of the Year Award

RCTC INSTRUCTOR PAUL TITUS RECEIVES MACTA EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR AWARD

Rochester Community and Technical College (RCTC) is proud to announce that Paul Titus, welding instructor, has been awarded the Minnesota Association for Career and Technical Administrators (MACTA) Educator of the Year award.

Paul Titus is being recognized by MACTA for his outstanding contributions to educating Minnesota youth. As an instructor at RCTC, Paul supports career exploration for younger students and hosts elementary students every fall for a hands-on welding clinic. Paul collaborates with area high schools to award credit for prior learning through articulated college credit. High school students save up to six credits through local and/or regional agreements. Paul has also collaborated with Workforce Development, Inc. of Rochester to support the training of previously incarcerated individuals preparing them to re-enter the workforce.

Paul will receive the MACTA Educator of the Year award at the Southeast Service Cooperative Welding Competition awards ceremony at RCTC’s Heintz Center on Wednesday, April 26th at 1pm.
