RCTC Music includes the Concert Band, Concert Choir, Aires, Jazz Combo, and World Drum Ensemble. The ensembles perform several concerts on and off campus each year. The Concert Band, Concert Choir, and Aires are now under the direction of Michael Mangan, Phone: 507-285-7576. The Jazz Combo is under the direction of Nathan Davidson, and the World Drum Ensemble is under the direction of Denny McGuire, Phone: 507-285-7434. If you are a student interested in joining any of these ensembles, please contact the directors in charge. RCTC Music also offers a variety of music classes for degree and non-degree seeking students alike. We also offer classes in Music Technology with state of the art music studios. RCTC Music welcomes new director, Michael Mangan

Michael is thrilled to join the Music Faculty at Rochester Community and Technical College.  Michael received his
Bachelor’s degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato and his Master’s degree from Winona State University.
Michael has 14 years of music education experience including high school, middle school, and elementary instrumental /general music.  His past positions include directing concert bands, jazz bands, marching bands, drum ensembles, musicals, and others.  He was the director of the Rochester Community Band for 9 years.  Michael is active as a performing musician, music judge, and clinician in the tri-state area. Michael looks forward to collaborating with other faculty to engage students in music at RCTC!

Featuring music from the RCTC Concert Band in collaboration with the Rochester Community Band. Also featuring the RCTC Jazz Combo. A wide variety of music will be presented–there’s something for everyone!
