(Rochester, MN)— Rochester Community and Technical College, working in partnership with the Rochester Regional Stadium Advisory Committee, is excited to announce plans to upgrade the playing surface at the Rochester Regional Stadium on the RCTC campus.
The current artificial turf is slated for replacement in July of 2019 with the field ready for play for the start of the 2019-2020 school year. Funding for the nearly $600,000 project is coming from collected usage fees (60 percent) and RCTC budget funds (40 percent).
Home to the RCTC Yellowjacket Football and Soccer teams, as well as many other school, community, and private teams, the Rochester Regional Stadium sees year-round usage by sports clubs from Rochester, the Twin Cities, and around the country. The stadium also hosts numerous tournaments which helps play a role in the economic vitality of the city and the region.
More information about the project will be posted to http://www.rctcyellowjackets.com/facilities/stadium including final field material and project timeline.
