Family and friends are cordially invited to the Rochester Community and Technical College Commencement Ceremony!

Important Roundabout Construction and Detour Information

General Seating

Tickets for family and friends are not required. Seating is available on a first-come basis. Plan to arrive before 5:30pm for optimal seating. Guests must remain seated throughout the ceremony and may not block the view of others to take pictures or videos.  Doors close between 5:55 and 6:05pm.  Guests should be seated by 5:50pm.

Accessible Seating

Tickets are not required for this section. However, we must limit seating to one additional person per guest needing accessible seating. For information about seating, please inquire with event staff upon arrival at the Sports Center.

Guest Etiquette

  • Plan to arrive early for the best seating
  • Sit close to others so all guests may be seated
  • Once seated, please stay seater – the noise and disruption detracts from the ceremony and other guests’ enjoyment
  • Be sure all cell phones and pagers are turned to silent mode prior to the start of the processional
  • Noise-makers, air-horns, or other loud devices are not allowed in the Field House during the ceremony
  • Guests are responsible for young children.  Children must remain in the bleachers and seating areas at all times.

Parking

Guests may use any of the campus parking areas at no charge. Permits are not required.

Photographs

A professional photographer from The Grad Team will be taking pictures of each candidate as they are shaking hands with President Boyd. Portraits may be viewed online approximately 7-10 days after the ceremony. Questions regarding photographs should be directed to The Grad Team at [email protected] or 1-833-469-4723 x0. You can sign up to receive information about your pictures. Guests are allowed to take personal photographs and videotape as long as they do not block the view of other guests or interfere with the proceedings.
