Job Responsibilities

RCTC Baseball is seeking a student to serve as the Team Announcer and Live Stream Technician for all home games. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Announcing during games and managing live stream operations
  • Ensuring equipment is set up and functioning prior to game time
  • Coordinating with coaching staff and game officials as needed

This is a short-term position running from March through mid-May. Additional opportunities for work and travel may be available depending on the student’s academic schedule.

No prior experience is required training will be provided.

  • Student workers are expected to:
  • Arrive on time and consistently attend scheduled shifts
  • Enter work hours promptly into eTime after each shift
  • Maintain a professional and clear speaking voice during game announcements
  • Communicate respectfully with coaches, staff, and officials
  • Uphold RCTC values and mission
  • Demonstrate reliability, attentiveness, and a willingness to learn
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with coaches, staff, and teammates
  • Maintain a helpful, approachable attitude and uphold RCTC’s values and mission

Additional Notes

  • Complete student worker training when assigned.
  • Communicate any schedule changes to your lead worker in advance.
  • Submit your payroll forms to gain access to eTime through e-Services (Student Employment).
  • All hours must be recorded on eTime the day they are worked: https://www.rctc.edu/eservices/
  • You are entitled to a 15-minute break for every four consecutive hours worked.

Performance Review

Students are eligible for a wage increase after they have worked 200 hours and based on performance evaluation. The area supervisor will assess the student employee’s performance, work attendance and attitude as it relates to the job tasks, RCTC values, service attributes, core outcomes, and interaction with students, staff, and visitors.
