Fall 2026 Withdrawal Deadline
November 25th is the last day to withdraw from the Fall 2026 semester full-term classes. RCTC strongly recommends that you work with your advisor or counselor before withdrawing from college to achieve the best possible outcomes for your circumstances. Also, you must notify the following offices if you are receiving benefits from them:
- Financial Aid Office
- Veterans Administration School Official
- TRIO SSS (TRIO Student Support Services Program)
- International Student Advisor
How to Withdraw:
- Online: Withdraw on the eServices site until 11pm.
- Deadlines for short-term courses are available on the RCTC website.
Note: Withdrawals do not affect GPA but do impact completion rate, which may affect satisfactory academic progress.
Meet With Your Advisor; Register For Spring 2027
- Get the schedule YOU want! Get the courses you NEED!
- Avoid wrong courses! Schedule an appointment with your academic advisor to review your degree plan.
- Handle any roadblocks early. Starting early gives you time to resolve any issues like holds or financial aid errors.
The TSC Is Here To Help!
The Technology Support Center (TSC) is available for students’ technical issues here at RCTC, which includes login and printing issues, installing free software for home use, and guided assistance with laptops and mobile devices.
Additionally, the TSC has digital equipment checkout items and provides traditional media supplies. A complete listing of TSC checkout items, supplies and services can be found on the TSC website.
Educational discount tip: as a student, if you plan on purchasing any new technology devices or software, ask for an educational discount! Most retailers offer discounts for college students which can save you quite a bit of money.
Remember: always be very careful when someone contacts you that you were not expecting (with an offer of employment, a free prize, your password has expired, etc., and asks for your personnel information, or for you to send them money). It is most likely a SCAM!
Semester Hours:
7:30am to 4:30pm – Monday-Thursday
7:30am to 4:30pm – Friday
9am to 1pm – Saturday
Semester Break:

Fall Financial Aid Loan Deadlines
Students on Fall Financial Aid have until December 4, 2026 to accept their Federal Direct Loans for Fall Semester. For questions, contact the Welcome and One Stop Center.
Weather Emergencies
As we approach winter, remember the policies for weather-related closures or emergencies:
- Emergency Alerts: All current RCTC students and employees receive alerts at their RCTC email. To receive alerts via text, phone, or a non-RCTC email, sign up for the RCTC Emergency Alert system.
- Information Sources: Updates will be posted on RCTC’s Facebook, X, website, and the main switchboard (507-285-7210). Local TV stations KTTC-TV, FOX47-TV, and KAAL-TV will also broadcast status changes.
- Decision Times: Day class decisions by 6am, evening class decisions by 3pm. If the campus opens late, classes starting before the opening time will not meet. If the campus closes early, classes starting before the closure time will meet but must end at the closure time.
Safety Considerations:
- Are state highways open and snowplows operating?
- Are local transit systems running?
- Is wind, cold, or ice a factor?
- Are power or heating systems affected?
Ultimately, the decision to travel safely is up to each individual. A full list of RCTC Emergency Procedures can be found on the website.
