Apply for Financial Aid
- Create a FSA ID to use as your electronic signature: studentaid.gov
- Complete the 2026-2027 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA): studentaid.gov
- Apply for the MN GI Bill: www.mn.gov/mdva/resources/education/
- Submit your DD214.
Note: For Financial Aid purposes, you must have engaged in active duty (including basic training) in the U.S. armed forces or be a National Guard or Reserves enlistee who was called to active duty for other than state or training purposes.

- Monitor your status, provide required documentation, view your award offer, accept/apply for loan funding, and review bills/payments using your e-services account: https://www.rctc.edu/eservices/

Required disclosure: Student Loan default rates are 0% currently due to COVID-19 regulations which suspended repayment of loans until October 2023.
- FY24 National Default Rate: 0.0%.
- FY24 RCTC Default Rate: 0.0%.

- Receive a refund selection notice by email after registering for classes.
- Select how you want your funding released to you: https://www.refundselection.com
- Direct Deposit to existing bank account.
- Create a VIBE account.
- If no preference is declared, a paper check will be issued and mailed to your permanent address.
