Rochester Community and Technical College is pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Bissonette, Ed.D., as the College’s Interim Dean of Career and Technical Education and Business Partnerships. Dr. Bissonette succeeds current Interim Dean Lori Jensen, who is returning to her role as RCTC’s Associate Dean of Career and Technical Education.
Bissonette is a familiar face in southeast Minnesota career and technical education. He most recently served the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce as its Vice President where he focused on partnerships with K12, higher education, and workforce development in the Rochester-area. Prior to joining the chamber, Dr. Bissonette served Riverland Community College as its Dean of Business & Technology, Trade & Industry, and Health & Wellness, as well as its Director of Customized Training and Education. The Stewartville-native holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa, a Master’s in Transformational Leadership from Bethel Seminary (St. Paul), and a Doctorate in Career and Technical Education from the University of Wisconsin, Stout (Menomonie, WI).
Dr. Bissonette’s first day on campus will be August 19, 2019.
