RCTC Student and Staff Photo ID Cards:
Students, faculty, and staff of RCTC and WSU-Rochester Center are issued a RCTC photo ID card. The card serves as your library card and is also required for other campus services including financial aid, bookstore, access to athletic facilities, and event admission.
RCTC Photo IDs are issued at Goddard Library’s Circulation Desk during the following hours when classes are in session: Monday – Thursday 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (hours are reduced during the summer and when classes are not in session). Students will need to bring (1) your RCTC Stinger ID number or your WSU Warrior ID number; (2) proof of registration (i.e. your class schedule), and (3) one of the following current photo ID’s: a Driver’s License, a State ID, a Military ID, or a valid Passport. Your name on your current photo id must match and be spelled exactly the same as your name on the college’s student database.
Distance Education Student ID Cards:
RCTC and WSU-R students registered for online courses can obtain either a RCTC Photo ID Card at Goddard Library, or a Distance Education Student ID Card without visiting the campus. The Distance Education Student ID Card will not have your picture on it and cannot be used for some on-campus activities such as at the campus Fitness Center or to pick up a Financial Aid check. The Distance Education Student ID Card will enable remote access to library resources the same as the RCTC Photo ID Card.
To obtain a Distance Ed Student ID Card: email your (1) name, (2) Stinger or Warrior identification number (number is on your class schedule), and (3) your mailing address to Goddard Library. Send your request to Goddard Library using “Ask a Librarian” and then “Ask a Question”.
Concurrent Enrollment Student ID Cards:
RCTC students participating in the Concurrent Enrollment program at area high schools will be issued a Concurrent Enrollment Student ID Card. This ID card will be mailed to your high school and will be distributed to you by your instructor. The Concurrent Enrollment Student ID Card will enable remote access to library resources the same as the RCTC Photo ID Card.
If you have a question about the Concurrent Enrollment Student ID Card, call the library at 507-285-7233 and select the option for the Circulation Desk.
Goddard Library Cards for Non-students:
Community members who are not students at RCTC may obtain a Goddard Library Card. This card will enable community patrons to use Goddard Library including for check-out of materials. We are not able to provide ILL support, use of library lab computers, access to study rooms, nor remote access to databases, e-books, and other electronic resources with this card. The cost to acquire this card is a one-time fee of $5.
Lost ID Cards:
Students can get a replacement ID card at the Library Circulation Desk. There is a $5.00 handling fee. This fee increases with each replacement. ID cards are permanent and also serve as a library card. You are responsible for items charged to your card, so notify the library if your card is lost or stolen.
