RCTC Student Receives Welter World Citizen Award and Scholarship

Rochester Community and Technical College is excited to announce Taylor Dabrowski has been selected to receive the Mark M. Welter World Citizen Award and Scholarship. Originally from Somerset, Wisconsin, Dabrowski is currently enrolled in the Emergency Medicine Paramedic program. An experienced world traveler, Taylor has witnessed and enjoyed many different cultures and countries during his travels and sees the interconnected nature of people. He plans to become a paramedic so he can use his empathy to help, comfort, and advocate for all people no matter their race, religion, or background.

Dabrowski is one of 25 students from the Minnesota State system selected to receive this honor. Through the generosity of Dr. Mark Welter, this award provides an annual tribute to Minnesota State students who exemplify an understanding of the interconnected nature of the world, its nations and all people; who are in good academic standing; and who demonstrate financial need.

Dabrowski was nominated for this award by RCTC Communications Studies instructor, Annie Clement.
