SPRING 2022 WITHDRAWAL DEADLINE APPROACHING
Please take note the withdrawal deadline for Spring Semester is approaching on April 22. The published withdrawal deadlines for short-term courses that start late or end early in the semester are available on the RCTC website.
FINANCIAL AID-Apply Early
It’s time again to apply for financial aid. Students who complete their files by this deadline will have an award letter prior to the first disbursement date.
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (or FAFSA), is the application all RCTC students are required to complete to be considered for any type of Financial Aid grant, Work-Study or Loan funding. Students must complete a new FAFSA for each year they wish to apply for Financial Aid.
We encourage all students to complete their FAFSA online. Visit FAFSA website to begin your application for financial aid. RCTC’s Federal school code is #002373. The application is also available in Financial Aid Office.
The Department of Financial Aid at RCTC is ready to assist you with any questions or guidance in filling out forms. Office hours are 8am-4:30pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and 9am-4:30pm Tuesday. The Financial Aid phone number is 507-285-7271

All students are strongly encouraged to meet with their academic advisor or counselor prior to registering for any term.

PLOT: The spark behind “Leaving Iowa” comes from being children of parents from the now-dubbed, “greatest generation.” The story is a toast to their idealism, strong character, and a small, good-humored roast of their undying dedication to the classic family road trip. Specifically, it is the story of Don Browning, a middle-aged writer, who returns home and decides to finally take his father’s ashes to his childhood home, as requested. But when Don discovers Grandma’s house is now a grocery store, he begins traveling across Iowa searching for a proper resting place for his father. The father-and-son road trip shifts smoothly from the present back through Don’s memories of the annual, sometimes hilariously torturous, family vacations of his childhood. “Leaving Iowa” is a touching and humorous postcard to anyone who has ever found themselves driving alone on a road, revisiting fond memories of their youth.
