When You Need to Drop from or Withdraw from a Course or Withdraw from RCTC
Fall 2025 Registration Deadlines
- Full-term course drop deadline: August 29, 2025
- Full-term course withdrawal deadline: November 26, 2025
- Course Swap Deadline: switching sections of the SAME course can be processed through September 22, 2025
- Courses that start late or end early in the semester drop and withdrawal deadlines are attached to each course in the online schedule and may be viewed by clicking on the class title on the Search Results screen: https://eservices.minnstate.edu/registration/search/basic.html?campusid=306

Spring 2026 Registration Deadlines

Summer 2026 Registration Deadlines
- Full-term course drop deadline: June 5, 2026

- Course Swap Deadline: switching sections of the SAME course can be processed through June 12, 2025
- Course swaps are for regular students paying tuition or receiving Financial Aid. The swap refers to tuition payment being swapped from one section of a course to another section of the same course. This leaves the monetary pieces of the process unchanged. Regular PSEO could fall under this category as well as long as they remain in non-concurrent sections of the same course.
- College withdrawal with a partial refund: View Deadlines
