Cultural Enrichment Activities
The Student Support Services Program sponsors cultural enrichment activities for all TRIO SSS participants to enjoy. The activities are provided to give you an opportunity to experience activities/events you may not otherwise experience. Cultural enrichment activities may include such activities as a sporting event to see a professional team play, i.e., Minnesota Twins, Minnesota Timberwolves, attend a play performance, concerts, museums, bowling, volleyball, skating, etc. Suggestions for cultural enrichment activities are always welcome, please submit your ideas to your TRIO SSS academic advisor.
The Student Support Services Program sponsors two college transfer visits each academic year. The visits are based on the interest of TRIO SSS participants transferring to another institution to complete their degree. If you are planning to transfer, see your academic advisor and express your interest in a college visit.
The Student Support Services Club meets on a monthly basis during the academic year. All students on campus are welcome to participate in the club meetings and activities. Some activities that the SSS Club has assisted with include: the annual scholarship fundraising event for the SSS Iris Fried Scholarship, game and activity events on campus. end-of-the semester stress-reliever activities, ect. For more information on upcoming club meetings and/or activities, please contact SSS Advisor Tung Truong in office SS161.
