Peace Officer Program Highlights

The Peace Officer program is designed to educate and train students for exciting careers in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice fields as well as Private Security.  The State of Minnesota requires all individuals entering the field of Law Enforcement to complete a two or four-year Law Enforcement or Criminal Justice degree through a Professional Peace Officer Education program and Pass the POST (Peace Officer Standards & Training) Licensing Exam.

The RCTC Peace Officer program is a POST-accredited program, as well as a Skills provider for all students that have or will complete their two or four-year Law Enforcement or Criminal Justice degree.

The Peace Officer program offers both an AAS Degree and an AS degree, as well as a certificate program.  The certificate program is designed for the individual that has already completed a two or four-year degree in any other major, to enter into the field of law enforcement. The Peace Officer Program offers an AS Degree.

The RCTC Peace Officer program is proud of the fact that it has graduates working in all 50 states and numerous federal law enforcement agencies.
